We opted for a forbearance when my husbands pay was being lowered. Every time the forbearance period was over they told us we could extend we extended so many times that our total owed was close to 35,000. We tried to refinance to include this amount and they keep rejecting our paperwork or said we didn’t send them everything they needed, which I had. They kept on doing this until they put notice on our door of trust deed sale. We had to either pay the whole amount or file bankruptcy before the deed sale. We are now in progress of filing bankruptcy. I am a disabled veteran on oxygen and thank you for reading my story. They told us it was a government program initiated for covid-19. That should mean that our payments should have just resumed at the end with no penalty.
